A real stone crab claw from Florida, made into a unique talisman necklace. We ate the crabs on vacation in Florida, and I thought the claws were too beautiful to toss!

This claw is electroformed at the top in pure copper with a dark patina. It has a lovely sea blue larimar stone set on the front, and a wonderful opalite stone on the top.

The claw is filled inside with resin, and then copper plated along the edges, so it isn't too delicate.

It comes on a 30" champagne colored freshwater pearl chain you can put over your head, though there is a spring loop clasp.

An incredible piece and an amazing talisman for water signs (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio) and anyone who loves the ocean!

I have a VERY limited number of these pieces, each unique. Be sure to check my other listings for different stones and styles.

Stone Crab Fact
The great thing about stone crab claw harvest is that if the claws are removed properly, it doesn't kill the crab to have its claw removed! They are able to eat with their other claw, and in about three years, they grow a whole new claw! It's a sustainable industry.

--------------------------
Electroforming is a unique process of combining chemistry and alchemy to take natural objects and plate them in copper. It can take up to three days to create a single piece. Each piece has been given a dark patina and good old fashioned polishing with steel wool. My work has been clear coated to halt the oxidation process and to keep your skin from turning green. Over time, the copper on your piece may need a coating of clear nail polish to continue to keep the oxidation to a minimum.

Each piece is made by me in my studio right here in northwest Indiana, and is one-of-a-kind. The stones I use spend time under moonlight for cleansing before I work with them. I choose my materials very carefully for quality and provenance, including cruelty-free and eco-harvesting. All purchases come carefully packaged and ready for gift-giving!

Sincerely, your Stone Sister,
